We are delighted to invite you to take part in the first Bath & Bristol golf festival sponsored by Carlsberg Marstons Brewing Company. Our three clubs have been collaborating together for many years and all have one common aim and that is to ensure that our members and guests enjoy their time with us. This is the first time we have run a tournament together and we feel sure that you will enjoy the formats we have settled upon. Each day and course offers you something different and whether you are avid competitors or friends looking for a pleasant golfing holiday we feel sure you will enjoy your time with us.

 Format

A traditional pairs stableford format with the chance to play with two members from another team. The better ball score from each pair is combined together to give you a team total. You will tee off at exactly the same time on opposite sides of the course. Enjoy the chance to swap stories with another team as you play your round and get to spend time with another group of players.

 Format

You will be playing a relatively new format to the golfing world, ‘The Shamble’. Not to be confused with the Texas Scramble this format allows for you all to tee off and then select the tee shot you feel is in the best position. From here however you play your own ball for the remainder of the hole and the best two stableford count on each hole. Just to ensure that there is some strategy to your day you must select at least three tee shots each.

 Format

A format to really get your golfing minds working hard. The ‘Mix Up’ will see you playing as a four but before you tee off you must select which tees that you are going to play from. You have to select six holes from the red tees, six from the yellows and six from the whites as a team. (Ladies are exempt from this and play from their own tees). The course has multiple tee boxes and huge differences in length from the tees so it is definitely worth spending a bit of time studying your options.

The best two scores on each hole count towards your team total.
